Frequently Asked Questions

Configure your ECG device to export files to the gateway's drop folder via FTP or network share. The gateway's File Watcher detects new files within seconds and processes them automatically. Supported formats are XML, PDF, and DICOM. See the IT Admin guide for network share configuration.
The gateway is fully local-first. All ECG processing, patient matching, and the clinical dashboard work entirely on your hospital LAN with no internet required. Records are queued locally and automatically sync to the OFFIN cloud when connectivity is restored — no manual action needed.
The gateway includes an HL7 v2 MLLP service (port 6661 by default). Configure your HMIS endpoint IP and port in the gateway settings, and ECG results will be sent as HL7 ORU messages automatically after each ECG is processed. Compatible with Epic, Cerner, DHIMS2, OpenMRS, and any MLLP-capable system.
XML — GE MAC Series, Mindray BeneHeart, Philips PageWriter, CardioSoft/MUSE
PDF — Vendor-generated reports from all supported devices
DICOM — 12-Lead ECG Waveform Storage (SOP class 1.2.840.10008.5.1.4.1.1.9.1.1)
Unsupported file types are quarantined automatically for review.
All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit via TLS 1.2+. Access requires role-based authentication. Every data access event is recorded in the audit log. Cloud sync only occurs with a valid active license key, and your institution retains data controller responsibility. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
